Evidence-based AI evaluations for real-world deployment decisions
Latest Study
From 82% to 95% on Existing Hardware — Assessing and Improving an On-Premise AI Assistant
An assessment-first engagement took a regulated, on-premise AI assistant from 82.2% to a deployed 94.8% answer accuracy on the same single GPU — adding a zero-critical-error auto-accept capability that handled roughly 1,100 answers in its first production month.
Generic AI Doesn't Know Your Business
Off-the-shelf AI tools weren't built for your specific needs
Missing context
Effective AI needs to understand your specific policies, terms, and workflows.

Lack of integration
Third-party tools can't effectively integrate into your current workflows.

Privacy and compliance
Sending proprietary information to third-party APIs can create compliance risk.

An AI Layer That Improves Your Processes
Integrate AI into the tools you already use so your team can more easily follow policy, complete routine steps, and find answers quickly without extra back-and-forth.
RAG System Development
AI document search that answers from your sources — with citations.
Compliance Automation
Instant policy lookups, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop gates.
Knowledge Base & Document Q&A
Handbooks, SOPs, and wikis your team can simply ask.
Private LLM Deployment
Open-source models on your infrastructure — data stays yours.
See It In Action
Pick a scenario and watch an AI assistant answer with citations, enforce guardrails, and log every decision — exactly how a production deployment behaves.
From Documentation to Deployment
A clear, collaborative process — pilot engagements typically run 4–8 weeks from discovery to a working deployment
Discovery & Planning
Together, we identify the highest-impact workflows and define success criteria.
Data Preparation
Your documentation is transformed into structured, searchable knowledge.
Training & Evaluation
AI behavior is customized and tested against real scenarios from your domain.
Integration & Deployment
The solution is deployed and connected to your existing tools with clear documentation.
Common Applications
HR & Policy Q&A
Employees get instant, cited answers about benefits, PTO, and procedures — instead of waiting on HR for routine questions.
Technical Documentation
SOPs and manuals become searchable, so technicians find the right procedure in seconds — with citations to the source.
Customer Support
Grounded answers with consistent messaging, designed to deflect routine tickets and cut response times.
Contract & Legal Intake
Extract key terms and route documents for review — with human-in-the-loop gates wherever judgment is required.
Process Automation
Routine steps run automatically with fewer handoffs — and an audit log of what was done, and why.
Why Work With an Independent Consultant
High-trust delivery without unnecessary complexity
Secure by default
Deployment options that fit your risk profile, with clear boundaries around data handling.
Direct collaboration
Work directly with the person building the solution — no handoffs, no translation loss.
Right-sized delivery
Focused solutions that improve a defined workflow, with measurable success criteria.
Clear documentation
You get implementation notes, handoff docs, and practical training so the work is maintainable.
Discretion
Sensitive details stay need-to-know. Controls and access are designed intentionally.

Common Questions
Answers to frequently asked questions about working together
We start with a short discovery call, then I deliver a written plan: target workflows, success criteria, data sources, integration points, security requirements, and a phased delivery roadmap. The consultation and initial discovery are free.
The consultation and initial discovery are free, with no obligation. After scoping, you receive a fixed written proposal — so the price is known before you commit to anything. I don't publish rates because scope varies widely between projects, but there is no cost to finding out what yours would be.
Most pilot engagements run 4–8 weeks from discovery to a working deployment on a defined workflow. Larger integrations are delivered in phases, with working software at each milestone rather than a single big handoff.
I work exclusively with US-based companies. This keeps contracting, data residency, and compliance requirements straightforward for both sides.
I define a test set of real questions from your team, measure answer quality against your source-of-truth, and iterate. The system is designed to cite sources when possible and to say it doesn't know when the documentation doesn't support a confident answer.
You can choose a full handoff with documentation and training, or ongoing support for monitoring, updates, and incremental improvements as your processes evolve.
Work is delivered in clearly defined stages with review checkpoints. If the solution isn't meeting the agreed success criteria, you can pause or stop after any milestone with no lock-in.
Generic tools don't know your internal policies, terminology, or systems. A business-ready solution is grounded in your approved sources, integrated into your workflows, and instrumented with logging, evaluation, and guardrails — so outputs are more consistent and operationally usable.
Most text-based content works: handbooks, SOPs, product manuals, policies, FAQs, training materials, and knowledge base articles. PDFs, Word docs, wikis, and structured databases can all be processed. Image-heavy documentation is usually a poor fit — I'll say so during the free discovery if yours is.
Common integrations include help desk platforms (Zendesk, Intercom), chat tools (Slack, Teams), document stores (SharePoint, Confluence, Google Drive), and CRMs. Integration scope is defined during discovery based on your existing stack.
Access is least-privilege and role-based where possible, and the system can log activity for review (what was asked, what sources were used, and what was returned). Security requirements are defined during scoping and reflected in the deployment plan.
Not unless you choose that option. In most cases I recommend deploying models on infrastructure you control, so documents never leave your environment.
Minor updates are usually handled by reindexing during scheduled maintenance. Significant policy or process changes may require prompt/rule updates or a new evaluation pass. I can provide ongoing updates/maintenance if needed.
You own your documents and the solution artifacts delivered for your environment. If we use third-party services or base models, their licenses and terms are documented so ownership and reuse rights are unambiguous.
